You can buy spray hair spray on the market or to save an art. If you spray a series of layers of light, even more than the chalk, so that each layer must dry before the next closing of the chalk, you can with a clear acrylic polymer paint to preserve the art. With a few layers of acrylic paint, also in a position to wash the table, if something spilled on it. Of course, the idea completely glass, the art of pollution, minor scratches, but if you want to like me, that you May glass tables with children around. Good luck.

Chalk is very sensitive .... If it were me, I would try to "fog" with a spray acrylic sealant in a craft store. Try a sample piece to see whether or not to darken it.
Otherwise, with a glass lid, with a clear spacers can be found here or in a shop clear profile of the frame between the glass and wood ... Spacer could the edges of everything. (Spacer profiles are clear, about 1 / 8 x 1 / 8 inch tape, adhesive, and 3 or 4th, you simply cut meter length.)
